Our Social Support & Humanitarian Response Program complements our legal aid efforts by addressing the holistic needs of our clients and communities, particularly during crises. We aim to ensure comprehensive well-being and build resilience.

To provide essential material and social support to clients facing financial hardship or acute needs.
To offer psychosocial support, especially for survivors of violence, aiding in their recovery and dignity.
To deliver vital humanitarian assistance during emergencies and crises.
To ensure integrated care through comprehensive referral services.

Key Program Activities

Providing funds for critical expenses like medical treatment, transportation, and food for clients.
Connecting survivors of violence (domestic, GBV) with crucial medical, shelter, and psychosocial services through a robust referral network.
Delivering direct humanitarian aid during emergencies, often integrated with our rapid response efforts.
Collaborating with community paralegals, CSOs, and partners to identify beneficiaries and analyze needs for tailored support.

Thematic Focus

This program is crucial for supporting clients involved in human rights violations, SGBV cases, and those affected by natural disasters or conflict.

Program Impact

Since 2012, this program has provided a vital safety net, covering expenses, offering emotional support, and delivering crucial aid, directly contributing to clients’ well-being and ensuring effective access to justice by addressing their immediate and long-term needs.

Maybe it won’t get that far, but those who care about these international law disputes think China and the U.S. are on a collision course because both sides hew closely to contradictory readings of international law.
