Legal Education & Capacity Building: Empowering Through Knowledge

The Legal Education & Capacity Building Program aims to enhance legal literacy and strengthen the capacity of justice actors across Myanmar. We believe that knowledge is power in fostering a just society and promoting rights awareness.

Program Objectives
  • To increase legal awareness and literacy among vulnerable community members.
  • To build and continuously improve the capacities of community paralegals.
  • To provide specialized legal training for professionals, civil society organizations, and officials.
  • To disseminate accessible legal information through various media.

Key Program Activities
  • Conducting basic legal awareness trainings for diverse community groups.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive paralegal training and refresher courses.
  • Organizing specialized workshops on rule of law, human rights, and specific legal topics.
  • Producing and distributing legal handbooks, IEC materials, and documentary films.
  • Fostering networking spaces for paralegals and legal professionals to share knowledge and collaborate.

Thematic Focus

Our education efforts cover human rights, gender-based violence, child protection, land rights, labor laws, legal identity, and safe migration, among others.
