Our Background

Founded in August 2011 by 11 idealistic young lawyers, LCM began as a voluntary initiative to address systemic legal and political issues in Myanmar. We have since grown into a respected organization with a dedicated, professional team committed to protecting human rights.

Our Approach

Our approach is rooted in human rights, social justice, and community empowerment. We deliver legal aid through
Client-Centered Support

Providing comprehensive information, advice, and representation with close client collaboration.

Trauma-Informed Lawyering

Integrating an understanding of trauma into every client interaction to ensure a safe, trusting, and empowering environment, actively preventing re-traumatization.

Community Paralegal System

Empowering and supporting community paralegals in target areas to enhance collaboration, strengthen referral services, and ensure quick responses.

Strong Partnerships

Collaborating with CSOs, UN agencies, and international partners to promote the rule of law and public awareness, upholding high ethical standards.

Services Offered

Maybe it won’t get that far, but those who care about these international law disputes think China and the U.S. are on a collision course because both sides hew closely to contradictory readings of international law.

Open Hour

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM GMT+6:30
